Our Seek the Lord Tee is inspired by the scripture Isaiah 55:6. This scripture says "Seek the Lord while He may be found." The key word here is 'may', meaning there's a chance you might not find Him. Take a look at Luke 12:22-27 "Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?" He said to them, Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.' Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!"

Notice that there is a time limit to enter that narrow door. It says that they sought to enter but were not allowed! Why? Because they sought to enter only after the door was shut. Once a person dies and are faced with the reality of life after death, they would no doubt desire to enter the kingdom of Heaven. But the door is then shut.

That is why Isaiah says: 'Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.' The Bible declares that the day of salvation is NOW. The day when God is near and approachable is now, but that window of opportunity is closing. The day of salvation will one day be replaced by the day of the Lord, the day of judgement.

No other words needed

Of the last sayings of Christ on the cross, none is more important than “It is finished.” Found only in the Gospel of John, the Greek word translated “it is finished” istetelestai, an accounting term that means “paid in full.” When Jesus uttered those words, He was declaring the debt owed to His Father was wiped away completely and forever. Not that Jesus wiped away any debt that He owed to the Father; rather, Jesus eliminated the debt owed by mankind—the debt of sin.
